The Haven has grown to accommodate an average of 90 men and women in its facilities. Programs are free of charge to men and women who need help. Since 1960 Haven of Rest has been restoring broken lives with the truth of God's Word. Whether you are seeking freedom from a life-dominating problem, wanting to help The Haven in some way, or are simply looking for information about what we do - we are glad you are here! Our goal for our clients is to help them see themselves with value and equip them with the tools and resources to be successful. POC: Ed Dixon, Deacon Meals On Wheels To deliver hope for our senior and disabled neighbors in Anderson County through meal delivery and interaction that nourishes their physical and emotional needs. Meals on Wheels – Anderson delivers a hot, nutritious meal daily to senior and disabled homebound neighbors across Anderson County. But it is so much more than food in a tray. POC's: Rev. Travis Bryan, Pastor The Lot Project The LOT Project seeks to cultivate intentional relationships with those in need, to build connections to the opportunities in our community, and to serve our neighbors in creative and empowering ways. Children's and Youth Ministry Where we grow together through grace, empowering faith, and encouraging love Christian Skate Nights Kids Program (1-2 Grades) (Instructor: Susan Davis) Summer Program: "Whole Armor of God" Kids Program (3-5 Grades) (Instructor: Ricky & Libby Rochester) Summer Program: "Whole Armor of God" The "Armor of God" is a spiritual concept described in Ephesians 6:10-18 that equips Christians with protection and strength against spiritual warfare. It's a powerful tool for kids to understand and resist the influences of evil. The armor includes the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of readiness for the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Youth Program (6-12 Grades) (Instructor: Tim Ferebee) Summer Program: "Voices - Who Am I Listening To" by Andy Prime Life is so confusing! There are a myriad of voices clambering for our attention – which one is the ‘right one’? Decisions, rather than being biblical, or good, or even moral, often feel like a stab in the dark, hoping for the best. This third title in the First Steps series looks at the wisdom offered in the book of Proverbs. God has not left us to navigate life as best we can alone – guidance is waiting if we only take the time to look.
