What is Baptism?
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.
Baptism
Take the next step through Baptism. Speak with our Pastor, Deacon, or a friend in fellowship about your decision to follow Jesus Christ. Let us know if we can assistance you in choosing a class.
We are expected to be baptized. Baptism is subsequent to salvation. It is a public proclamation of your faith in Christ.
Matthew 28:19-20 "19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Acts 2:38-39 "38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
Being baptized shows that we turn away from a life of sin and turn toward Jesus, the only one who can change us.
